After it’s release earlier this week, I have been using the Meebo iPhone app and testing it out. I actually stopped using IM clients about 4 years ago when I got a full-time job.
However, I’ve since had a desire to use Facebook Chat on the go, using Facebook’s iPhone app, but that was no good because the open had to be open in order for you to remain signed in to chat.
Meebo however keeps you logged in to all your IM networks (and it supports dozens by the way) and then gives you push notifications whenever someone IMs you. I’ve been using it for a few days now and have found it to be very quick and responsive, both with notifications and real-time chatting.
It’s a great client for IM on the go and the best part of it all is the price – gratis.
